TRAINER
We have an exciting opportunity for a NEBOSH General Qualified Trainer to join our growing business – this is a fantastic opportunity to really make a difference. You will also ensure that we deliver the highest standard of industry training both internally and to customers.
This role will be hybrid. Head Office is based in Darwen, Lancashire with travel throughout the UK as required.
Responsibilities include
- Review training needs analysis for all departments.
- Arrange training for expiring records and new starters.
- Deliver Lantra accredited customised provision training of the Multihog and Hot Water Weed Control Systems to internal and external customers.
- Deliver internal Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels and Banksman Training.
- Manage the administration of courses (course paperwork, joining instructions, post course processing, applying for certificates/cards/updating training tracker/uploading to Moralbox/posting certificates/cards).
- Develop new courses for internal plant and equipment.
- Manage our internal training record system.
- Manage various portals including the Highways Common Induction, Highways Passport portals and CSCS/CITB Portal.
- Develop internal SCORM standard online training packages.
- Provide support to Marketing for equipment demonstrations/exhibitions.
Essentials
- Self-motivated person who can work in a team and have a professional approach.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and business managers.
- Attention to detail and confidentiality are paramount.
- Good computer skills including word, excel & PowerPoint knowledge.
- Be confident liaising with a variety of people both internal and external to the business.
- Hold NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Hold 3 day First Aid Certificate.
- Full clean UK driving license.
Desirables
- Passed Instructional Techniques or equivalent training.
- Knowledge of working with ISO 14001, 9001, 45001 would be an advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
It would also be advantageous if you had the ability to deliver other Lantra courses such as:
- Abrasive Wheels
- Manual Handling Awareness
- Brushcutter/Strimmer
- Location and Avoidance of Underground Apparatus
- Chainsaw Use and Maintenance
- Ride on Roller

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT OPERATIVES (WEST MIDLANDS)

It is desirable that applicants have previous traffic management experience and qualifications. A full UK driving licence is required as the role includes driving one of our commercial vehicles.
