About the role

The role will come with a strong basic salary to reflect the experience of the candidate as well as a good sales commission structure with benefits and company vehicle.

You will also be provided with a personal development plan and be eligible to gain Mercedes-Benz Unimog Sales Training Qualifications whilst on the job.

The role will be partially based at our expanding Blackburn with Darwen Head Office, however we have sites and customers across the UK so remote/field based working and possession of a driving license is an essential requirement.

As Unimog Sales Executive, your role is key in driving our continued growth of the business by generating new leads and nurturing existing ones to drive business development.

You will be the Mercedez-Benz Unimog specialist for Multevo and the key point of contact for customers with responsibility to manage customer relationships and requests to win business.

In order to achieve this you will also be a confident collaborator with internal and external stakeholders to get the best results.

Your role will involve planning, managing and independently undertaking pro-active targeted campaigns to seek and win new business opportunities. Assisting the wider sales and marketing team to drive growth, keep customers happy and collectively reach our goals.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will build trust, communicate effectively and exceed our customers’ expectations.
  • You will professionally handle all aspects of customer engagement from initial enquiries through negotiation to closing deals and resolving complaints.
  • You will be an excellent collaborator with good technical/operational attention to detail in order to fully understand customer needs whilst working with stakeholders to specify innovative customer solutions that deliver real value.
  • You will be a positive and driven individual; vigorously seeking new and existing market opportunities with a natural hunger to succeed and a never give up attitude.
  • You will be precise, accurately detailing customer contact details and work proficiently with the CRM system to input, update notes and opportunities to maximise pipeline insights.
  • You will have a proven track record in achieving growth, exceeding sales targets and developing or implementing sales initiatives in order to track, win and report back on opportunities.
  • You will be commercially astute with responsibility to present and complete on profitable deals whilst managing all sales/hire documentation.
  • You will plan and manage customer engagements, including meetings both online and in person, attending trade shows and efficiently organising and attending customer demonstrations whilst liaising with stakeholders.

Who we’re looking for

  • Experience in specialist plant/tractor/municipal equipment sales is beneficial but not essential as we are looking to work with the right person to grow with the business.
  • A good communicator, able to form relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence.
