Driving decarbonisation
We look to lead on low carbon innovation across our industries through the development and integration of new technologies, plant and equipment, methodologies and materials.
Multevo holds ISO14001:2018 Environmental Management System, setting out the framework for monitoring our environmental impact through an effective environmental management plan.
We are already underway with our PAS2080 accreditation, the global standard for managing carbon in infrastructure, and currently monitor all scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions with a view to implementing carbon reduction initiatives across all operations.

We are early adopters of AI surveying technology to better understand the condition of assets that we are maintaining.
One size doesn’t fit all and this enables us to determine the potential carbon output for each proposed treatment we undertake versus cost to collaborate with clients on what matters to them and deliver differently when required.
INNOVATING
Pioneering alternative fuelled plant
We won the Fleet Innovation Award at the LCRIG Innovation Festival for our development of the Hydrovo, a ultra-low emission multi-functional machine.
The equipment delivers intensive high-performance applications across a range of sectors with up to 95% less emissions as a result of the innovative duel fuel technology utilizing hydrogen and hydrotreated vegetable oil.

Multevo are experts in forward planning with a view to deploying multi-purpose plant and multi-skilled people on the network with a view doing more with less in a single visit. The consequences are significantly less disruption, cost and carbon.
CIRCULAR ECONOMIES
UK first for recycling
Multevo are currently pioneering an exciting new road repair recycling innovation and are the first to deliver this innovation in the UK.
We aim to recycle all by-product materials produced from our operations from recycling milled asphalt planings to re-purposing felled trees.

ECO innovation forum
Our internal Eco Innovation Forum is made up of employees across the different business units and has the governance to develop and implement our carbon reduction pathway to Net Zero. This includes implementing a circular economy where possible, the use of ultra-low emission and electric vehicles, plant and equipment as well as sourcing environmentally friendly products and recycling waste.
Live Labs 2
We are engaged participants in the Department for Transport Live Labs 2 project. In Hampshire, we saved 3,474.81 Kg of CO2e across 13 shifts, 126 patch repairs and 874sqm of repair using innovative low carbon treatments and multi-purpose working practices. In Cheshire West, 6,741.3 Ke of CO2e was saved across 25 shifts, 342 defects repairs and 2,792.87sqm of repair.
Low carbon solutions
Multevo are invested in delivering the right treatment at the right time whilst reducing carbon wherever possible. In comparison to conventional methods, our recycled rubber mastic can save up to 86% of CO2e/m² whereas our thermal solutions can save up to 91% of CO2e/m².
Audited carbon reporting
We measure and monitor our scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions which is shared with clients in our real-time report dashboards with a view to identifying opportunities for continuous carbon reduction.
Driver behaviour incentives
We monitor driving behaviours and reward our people for safe, responsible and efficient driving styles to create a positive and environmentally conscious culture. This has resulted in a 9% reduction in vehicle emissions whilst improving miles to the gallon by 12%.
