Multihog is established, turning a unique concept into tangible innovation with an early emphasis on grass mowing manoeuvrability and stability on steep slopes.

2009

Intensive research and development, undertaken at Multihog HQ in Ireland, transforms the initial impression into the unique and versatile all-seasonal solution we know today.

2010

Experienced plant specialists Nick Carter and Nick Leadley take the decision to setup Multihog UK Limited to bring the concept to the UK with an emphasis on doing more with less.

Around the same time the UK Coalition Government announce an extensive long-term plan to cut public-spending aimed at reducing UK budget deficit, putting pressure on public services.

2011

Close customer collaboration follows, allowing the team to determine the different dilemmas of conventional kit; enabling customer-driven development of innovative attachment offerings

2012

Two years from launch, a series of Councils, Contractors and Airports accept delivery of the multi-purpose Multihog optimised to their operational needs. Time will tell of their success…

Most noticeably, London Gatwick and Heathrow Airports take on 20 machines between the two for winter with customised attachments. This setup will become recognised as industry excellence.

2013

Positive market responses encourage Nick and Nick to invest heavily in a hire fleet to support customer demand, whilst the team take time out to complete a 127-mile charity bike challenge.

Multihog road repair method helps Rotherham MBC win best practice award by APSE in the same year as Nottinghamshire Country Council announces daily savings in the thousands since switching.

2014

As more customers come on board the business relocates to a new premise with enhanced customer support and engineering facilities to serve an increased customer base from a new one.

2015

The company introduces the UK market to environmentally friendly weed control equipment using 100% hot water to help increase customer’s sustainability ambitions.

Common themes emerge as customers measure advantages of working with new adaptable equipment and techniques – increases in operational productivity, safety and efficiency is the norm.

2016

Congratulations are in order as the team wins the Innovation Award at Hive Business Awards as the Multihog continues to evolve around customer needs emerging new areas of application.

2017

Multihog UK Limited join the RSTA and launch a direct services division to provide customers with a complete contracting service whilst also scooping the Health & Safety Innovation Award.

Gritsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Anti-slip Machiney becomes a social media sensation trending 9 million impressions on twitter whilst the company features on BBC1’s Pothole Wars programme.

2018

8 years on and 6 more Multihog models in the range than before with an endless amount of attachments in 30% of the UK’s local authorities and 80% of Airports and most major contractors.

Evolution in action. Multihog UK evolves to Multevo in order to continue to expand and serve customer needs with existing and new ground-breaking products and services.

2019

Multevo helped make it a world's first Newcastle International Airport by taking delivery of a PaxLift, the new generation of Ambulift. Whilst Cambridge University awards top marks to green hot water weed control.

Durham scores with its hattrick of Multihogs and London City Airport also invests in four machines to support with winter maintenance duties.

2020

Multevo are commended by industry professionals for their proactive response to the Covid-19 pandemic and supporting their highways heroes. Derby City Council increase road repair productivity by 250% with their Multihog named 'Hogzilla'.

As restrictions ease off, Multevo set off on a UK Roadshow to launch the new compact Multihog CV Sweeper.

2021

Multevo form part of the Shropshire Highways Alliance, delivering enhanced patching, reactive repairs, surfacing schemes and traffic management across the county on behalf of Kier Highways and Shropshire Council. Over 20,000 potholes repaired.

With net zero high on the agenda, Multevo launched the world’s first dual-fuel hydrogen and diesel highway maintenance machine.

The appointment of Luke Dean as Civil Engineering Contracts Manager allows Multevo to strengthen their offering to customers, acting as a turnkey partner for highways, civil engineering, vegetation and traffic management.
