Casey Group and Multevo: Delivering local community projects with aligned values

Multevo have engaged in several development projects with Casey Group, supporting with a range of civils and groundworks services across the North West.

When it comes to what’s most important, both Casey Group and Multevo share similar values in putting their people first, improving lives in local communities, and forming strong relationships through collaboration.

With both businesses having established themselves in the heart of the North West of England, they take pride in delivering local projects using a local skilled workforce.

Project Insights

Multevo provide a one-stop-shop civils and groundworks service to commercial and residential developers. This encompasses a wide range of self-delivered services, from preliminary site clearance and groundworks to external finishing touches such as paving and flagging. They also self-deliver associated traffic management requirements including diversion routes and road closures.

As principal contractor for large schemes, Casey Group realised the benefits of working with a local contractor who had the capability to execute several on-site duties that would typically require several individual contractors.

Shadsworth Hub, Blackburn

The Shadsworth Hub project consisted of the construction of a new youth hub and outdoor park as part of a wider community investment project.

Working with Casey Group, Multevo took responsibility in carrying out early-stage tasks such as earthworks, demolition of the existing park, and installation of groundworks and new drainage systems. Multevo also delivered external finishes including paving, gabion baskets, and conservation kerbs, edgings and tactiles.

The new site is set to provide its young visitors with a safe space to engage in a wide range of activities thanks to its upgraded facilities.

As part of the project, Multevo also engaged in Casey Group’s Christmas community initiative, providing donations towards over 40 festive food hampers, and providing volunteers to help with packing the hampers.

Haslingden Road, Blackburn

Casey Group appointed Multevo to undertake a Section 278 scheme to create a new entrance leading to a potential housing development site along Haslingden Road.

Works consisted of excavations, extending the width of the existing carriageway, drainage improvements, relocation of gullies, installation of new service ducts, as well as all surfacing, kerbs, edgings and tactile paving.

Multevo also self-delivered the associated temporary traffic management for the scheme.

Holden Fold, Darwen

Another key project took place in Multevo’s hometown of Darwen, Lancashire. Casey Group were responsible for a junction improvement scheme, aimed to increase pedestrian safety and aid traffic flow.

Multevo undertook elements of the scheme including drainage alterations to suit the new road layout, installation of a new car park to free up space on the road, and kerbs, edgings and tactile crossings.

This was another scheme where Multevo were able to showcase their multi-faceted approach, with the business responsible for managing the diversion route to minimise disruption to the public.
