Meet the Apprentices: The Next Generation of Multevo Talent
Last week marked National Apprenticeship Week, celebrating the impact of apprenticeships on businesses and young professionals alike. At Multevo, they believe in investing in the next generation, providing hands-on experience and career development opportunities across different areas of the business.
This year, Multevo welcomed a group of talented apprentices who are already making a difference. From engineering and mechanics all the way to sales and marketing. Here’s a closer look at their journeys so far.
Meet Multevo’s Latest Apprentices –
Charlie Haworth – HGV Technician (19)
Choosing an apprenticeship straight from school, Charlie wanted to develop technical skills while working towards a Level 3 HGV Technician qualification at Lancaster College.
Charlie’s role at Multevo involves inspecting, servicing, maintaining, and repairing everything from multi-purpose articulated equipment to HGVs, enjoying the fast-paced environment and learning something new every day.
Charlie comments:
🗣 “I like working a Multevo because there’s always something to do and learn. Every day brings a new challenge, and that’s what keeps it exciting.”
Charlie’s hard work has already been recognised, earning a place as a finalist for Apprentice of the Year. Looking ahead, they plan to complete their qualification and explore different areas of the industry to find the best career fit.
Aaron Jackson – HGV Technician (17)
Aaron originally studied to become a police officer but quickly realised he wanted a more active, hands-on learning experience. Seeking an apprenticeship, he chose Multevo because of the opportunity to learn directly in an industry he was passionate about.
His role involves working on HGVs and Multevo’s range of innovative multi-purpose equipment including engine replacements and defect repairs. One of his favourite aspects of the job is the freedom to problem-solve and figure out his own approach to fixing issues.
Aaron adds:
🗣 “I really enjoy that I’m able to find my own way to fix something. It’s all about learning through experience and getting stuck in.”
Through his Level 3 HGV Technician apprenticeship, Aaron has developed valuable skills in managing processes and diagnosing problems. His goal is to stay on the mechanical side of the job, continuing to build his expertise.
Dec Clegg – Digital Marketing Executive (21)
Dec made a bold career decision, leaving university in his first year to pursue a marketing apprenticeship. He believed this was the best way to gain real-world experience while developing his skills in a fast-moving industry.
Multevo’s diverse range of sectors made it the perfect environment for him to expand his knowledge and take on new challenges. His role involves managing social media, creating content, working with the CRM, and supporting digital campaigns. He has also gained video production skills and learnt how to fly a drone to capture marketing footage.
Dec comments:
🗣 “There’s always an opportunity to learn and develop here, which is exactly what I was looking for in an apprenticeship.”
Dec is currently completing his Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship at Burnley College before progressing to a Level 6 Digital Marketing Degree Apprenticeship.
Louis Preston – Sales Lead Generator (18)
Louis saw an apprenticeship as the perfect way to acquire valuable skills whilst earning a salary, giving him both financial independence and hands-on business experience. Wanting to prove his worth in a fast-growing company, he chose Multevo because of the opportunities for progression.
In his role, Louis is responsible for building rapport with customers, using LinkedIn, email, and telephone outreach to generate leads, which are then passed on to colleagues to quote and close. The challenge of securing new business keeps the job exciting, and he appreciates the supportive and friendly team environment.
Louis adds:
🗣 “Everyone here is really easy to talk to, and I enjoy the endless challenges to tackle with generating new leads—it’s a constant learning experience.”
Since starting, Louis has developed strong communication skills, phone and email etiquette, and is focused on progressing into a successful sales executive through his apprenticeship.
