Leading highways service delivery partner and innovative road maintenance machinery provider, Multevo, is proud to announce it’s been awarded Product of the Year at the Highways Awards 2026.

The prestigious evening took place on 23 September at the Park Plaza in London and celebrated the best of the highways industry.

Multevo’s Recycle, Rejuvenate, Repair (RRR) system was recognised for initiating a ‘change of thought’ technique which has made a positive impact to the sector.

Developed in 2025, the Lancashire based firm developed and launched a UK-first in-situ recycling patch repair method for long-lasting pothole repairs with low carbon impact, zero waste, and minimal risk.

The solution provides proven carbon, safety and productivity benefits for the wider highways industry, community and stakeholders.

The one-machine process repairs patches in three steps without requiring virgin asphalt or additional vehicles, offering a safer, greener, and more efficient approach at a scale never seen before.

The RRR system mills the existing surface to a depth of up to 100mm, crushes the material before mixing it with a low-carbon rejuvenator, and then compacts the resulting 100% regenerated bituminous product ready to reopen to traffic.

By eliminating the need for virgin asphalt and producing zero waste through cold recycling, the process can reduce emissions by up to 99% compared with conventional repair methods, while also reducing the need for additional vehicles, materials and fuel.

The solution has already been undergoing significant trials in collaboration with Lancashire County Council and been accredited with the RSTA Innovation Award and the Green Apple Award, making it a hattrick of award wins in 2026.

The RRR is just one of several key innovations on offer from Multevo, with them also launching their UK-first electric powered mastic boiler for recycled rubber mastic repairs, and the innovative range of multi-purpose wheel loaders – Wille Machines.

They show no signs of stopping, with further innovations due to launch in 2027.
