MULTI-PURPOSE INNOVATION: TWO NEW MODELS AVAILABLE FOR DEMO IN 2024

Multevo are the UK’s most experienced dealer of multi-purpose equipment and are delighted to welcome two new models to the range.

Launched in the UK in 2010, the Multihog has made waves across public and private sector industries, enabling customers to deliver a more efficient, cost-effective, and productive service across highways, winter, cleansing and vegetation management.

Over the years, a vast variety of bespoke attachments have been designed in collaboration with customers specifically for the kit to add value according to customers’ operational requirements.

Most attachments can be easily changed in under two minutes without any tooling or technical experience and such as the Snow Brush/Plough Combi, High Volume Flood Water Pump and the Heavy Duty Weed Brush for example.

The equipment has been utilised for several years by the likes of London City Airport who invested in the kit for head of stand winter clearance. In addition, Multevo have worked with over 40% of local authorities to deliver permanent pothole, patch and defect repairs using the front mounted planer with integrated dust suppression system.

Customers will now benefit from two new models which have been developed with the operator in mind, incorporating added safety, comfort, and ease of controls as well as improved service capabilities and lower emissions. Here we delve into some of the new key features.

MX MK II

The MX MK II is the most powerful unit in the range and is best served for winter maintenance duties in Airports and on both local and strategic networks. Some of the new features include:

  • Power and performance: the new 130hp engine provides increased power for heavy duty applications. An increased rear load capacity for carrying more de-icer or salt, reducing refills required when operating.
  • Increased comfort and control: redesigned armrest with integrated joystick and easy to operate paddle control system for improved ergonomics with a high-back seat with 3-point seatbelt.
  • Operational improvements: now featuring pre-set operating modes which are completely customisable and allow operators to pre-set and calibrate each mode for a particular task or attachment.
  • Low Emission: featuring the most fuel efficient engine on the market (Stage V) and HVO ready to reduce emissions by up to 90%.
  • Ease of service: built in live diagnostics and easily accessible side and rear panels for all serviceable items.

CX MK II

Despite its small size at just 1200mm wide, the CX MK II is a great tool for maintaining hard to access areas such as car parks, cycleways, and town centres. Enhancements include:

  • Increased comfort: cabin size has increased by 46% making it a much more comfortable working environment, and the entry redesigned to make access easier for operators.
  • Improved drive system: the new ‘push and go’ system allows for simple operation with just an accelerator and brake. The cruise control has been adapted to simply operate at the push of a button.
  • Better ergonomics and controls: the new armrest is now mounted to the seat for better ergonomics when operating on uneven grounds. The double-acting hydraulic functions are now controlled via fingertip paddles on the ergonomic armrest. You can rest your hand and operate all four functions with just your fingertips.
  • Efficient servicing: Integrated on-board diagnostics and new easily accessible side panels for servicing all components.
  • Operational improvements: just like the MX MK II, the model features pre-set operating modes for tasks such as snow clearance and grass cutting, reducing downtime, and maximising efficiencies.

Both models now also feature a new engine with Stage V class emissions, making them much better for the environment. This article only scratches the surface of the new features and benefits.
