In his new position, Darren will play an instrumental role in the planning and overseeing of Multevo’s role as a strategic partner to Amey on the National Highways Area 10 Contract whilst working with other North West based local authority contracts.
Multevo have bases in Lancashire, Staffordshire and Shropshire and can be considered an up-and-coming ethical SME highway maintenance contractor who specialise in delivering services differently through a multi-skilled workforce and innovative plant, equipment, and technologies.
Darren is no stranger to the highway’s world or Area 10 for that matter, with 21 years of experience working for principal contractors such as Amey, spanning multiple roles within the industry including ganger, supervisor, area manager, and Area 10 schemes manager.
Regarding his new position, Darren shares:
“I am looking forward to utilising my knowledge and skills within the highways sector, to support Multevo’s already well-established team and assist in helping the business continue to grow.
Leaving Amey and my role as Schemes Manager on Area 10 was a hard decision to make, but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to join such a forward-thinking business. My new challenge will still be supporting Area 10 and I am grateful to Amey for allowing me to leave with their blessing.”
With a high degree of expertise in multiple aspects of strategic highway maintenance, Darren will be a strong asset to support Multevo in managing the business’ in-house soft estates, tree works, carriageway patching and surfacing, traffic management and structures teams.
Darren’s background and knowledge will support Multevo’s growth aspirations within the industry, providing customers with the assurance that Multevo are armoured with a passionate and dedicated management team.
